Chausath Yogini Temple

Overview

The Chausath Yogini Temple in Bhedaghat, Jabalpur is one of the oldest heritage sites in India, built in the 10th century by the Kalachuri dynasty. This circular temple is dedicated to 64 Yoginis female yogic deities and is perched atop a hill with panoramic views of the Narmada River and Marble Rocks. It's also home to idols of Goddess Durga and Lord Shiva, and the architecture reflects ancient Tantric traditions.
